Lauren Walsh and Olivia Mehaffey are both well placed for weekend charges at the Amundi German Masters at Golf and County Club Seddiner See.
Walsh lies three shots the halfway lead on one-under-par while Mehaffey is a shot further back in a share of 16th place.
Walsh backed up an opening 71 with a battling 72 which included two birdies in her last five holes to lie in a share of eleventh place.
The Castlewarden woman started strong also, rolling in birdies on the 1st and 5th and she did well to overcome a rocky patch which saw her double bogey the par-4 9th and bogey the par-3 11th.
Mehaffey meanwhile had a rollercoaster 74 that included there birdies and five bogeys, including back-to-back dropped shots to finish.
There have been some strong home performances with Alexandra Forsterling leading the way on four-under-par after successive rounds of 70.
She leads from fellow countrywomen Patricia Schmidt, Sandra Gal and amateur Helen Briem with England’s Bronte Law also part of the ground on three-under.
