The Bulgarian national basketball team recorded an extremely valuable victory over the world champion Germany with 67:62 (7:19, 21:8, 11:18, 28:17) as a host in “Arena Botevgrad” in a match of the second round in Group D of the qualification for the Men’s European Championship in 2025.
This was the first success for the national team in the qualification, while Germany suffered its first loss.
In the other group match later on Sunday, Montenegro hosts Sweden in Podgorica.
The second qualifying window, in which the third- and fourth-round matches of the preliminary rounds will be played, is scheduled for November.
Codi Miller-McIntyre was the top scorer for the Bulgarian national team with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
